Blekinge Dansresidens är ett residens där Dans i Blekinge bjuder in danskonstnärer att arbeta på Massmanska kvarnen i Ronneby. Residenset är sedan 2017 årligen återkommande och pågår under tre veckor i augusti. Blekinge Dansresidens är en tillåtande plats där konstnärer bjuds in till att utforska och fokusera. Ett utrymme för lyhördhet och känslighet för nyanser, en rörlig plats i dialog med omgivningen, en möjlighet att fördjupa sitt konstnärskap och på olika sätt möta en publik.
Syftet med residenset är att skapa möjligheter för nationella och internationella danskonstnärer att arbeta i Blekinge, vilket bidrar till att stärka infrastrukturen inom fältet och en intressant och livskraftig konstnärlig miljö i Blekinge.

Vi är glada över att välkomna årets residenskonstnärer till Massmanska Kvarnen! Sara Koluchová och duon A Ourø / A Kasakove kommer att arbeta hos oss från den 10 augusti och avsluta sina residensperioder med visningar under Brådjupa Blekinge dansfestival, 28e och 29 augusti. Under residenset håller de morgonklasser öppna för professionella dansare och scenkonstnärer 9-10.15 varje vardag.
Anna Lea Ourø och Amalia Kasakove
Anna Lea Ourø and Amalia Kasakove form the artist duo A Ourø / A Kasakove.They have received a BA in Dance and Choreography from The Danish National School of Performing Arts (2017). A Ourø is finishing her MA in Choreography and Performance in Gießen. A Kasakove holds an MFA in Choreography from SKH (2022).
Their work has been situated in places such as Dansehallerne, MARC, Warehouse9, Ställbergs Gruva, Aaben Dans, Bora Bora, MDT, La Bellone, Théâtre Sévelin36, and HAUT.
Visning – a drama
We recently concluded a trilogy, closing with Drama – a work unfolding in a tragicomic sphere where comedy and grief are carried by the same form. By re-entering the work, we open an archive of dances from the past decade. The work addresses questions of archiving, loss, memory, friendship and control – tracing how drama operates not only on stage but within conditions shaping artistic labour today.

Sara Koluchova
Sara Koluchová (1995, Salzburg) is a Czech dancer and choreographer based in Dresden. She trained at the Duncan Centre Conservatory (Prague) and holds an MA in Dance Composition from Folkwang University of the Arts (Essen). She has worked with Sasha Waltz & Guests, Jérôme Bel, and Susanne Linke. Her practice connects historical and contemporary movement, focusing on presence, cultural identity, and surrealism, alongside teaching and community work.
Visning – I will dance for you
“I am Sara and I will dance for you.” Developed during the Blekinge Dance Residency with Dans i Blekinge, this work-in-progress opens an intimate space where playfulness, fragility, awkwardness, and courage meet in the search for presence.

Under Blekinge dansresidens anordnas daglig träning för professionella dansare, scenkonstnärer och danspedagoger.
Den dagliga träningen äger rum i Dans i Blekinges lokaler på Massmanska kvarnen i Ronneby, vardagar perioden 11-26 augusti. Klasserna leds av årets residenskonstnärer Sara Koluchová och duon A Ourø / A Kasakove.

CLASS DESCRIPTION — A OURØ / A KASAKOVE
During the residency we’ll engage with an archive of dance phrases accumulated over a decade. Within these classes, we will teach phrases from the archive and attend to the intricate craft of learning a dance. We address how dance is recalled, transmitted, and reactivated, not as a stable object but through its erosion and affect, complicating how it is learned, remembered, and held over time. Considering the archive as a living field, we will reflect how friendship, loss, and form persist and reconfigure through it.
CLASS DESCRIPTION – Sara Koluchova
This dance practice brings together elements of the Jooss-Leeder tradition, Susanne Linke’s Inner Suspension, and Duncan method, combining different dance approaches to support an embodied and conscious way of dancing. Each class moves from structure into openness (from guided exercises into improvisation). It begins with a focus on alignment, placement, and breath, creating both physical clarity and mental focus. From there, the work expands into space, exploring weight, musicality, and the origin and impulse behind movement. The practice is interested in the relationship between inner intention and outward form, and in how movement can connect body, thought, and emotion. Rather than striving for perfection, it encourages attentiveness, sensitivity, and presence, allowing dancers to develop a more personal and grounded expression through natural movement principles.
