CALLING FOR DANCERS
Dans i Blekinge are happy to open the application for Unga Dansare!
For the sixth year in a row we arrange the project Unga Dansare!
2016 we started a project called Unga Dansare (Young Dancers) with the intention to offer dancers and performers who are attending an education within dance or are in the beginning of their career, to work with a professional choreographer for one week. The ambition is to give young dancers the opportunity to develop your artistry, get inspiration for further studies and to get work experience in an early stage of your career.
We are looking for 4 dancers within studies/just ended one or are about to start one. Everyone are welcome to apply but applicants with connections to Blekinge will be prioritized.
Application open from 8 of February to midnight 10 of March.
(Decisions and response will be made by the end of March/beginning of April)
Date of Unga Dansare: 30 august - 3 september 2021, display of the work 3-4 September.
The dancers will work during daytime 30/8-3/9 together with a choreographer in Ronneby and create a shorter piece for showing.
The performance will take place in the form of a larger screening weekend / dance festival where this year's dance artists in Blekinge Dance Residence will also present their work. As a dancer, you should be available for viewing 3-4 September. This year´s choreographer is soon to be announced.
Included in Unga Dansare
- 5 days of work with a choreographer in a studio in Ronneby.
- Remuneration of 7750kr
- Performance during the showing
- Documentation of the work in the form of photo and film.
- Up to 1000kr in compensation for travels
Not included in Unga Dansare
- Food costs.
- Compensation for housing.
Unga Dansare will be implemented with the condition that it is financed.

We want to know who you are and about your background within the dance field (like work or studies), and a motivation for why you are applying for the job. Feel free to upload a video of you dancing and/or a link to a possible website.
